I'm a prolific reviewer with a high level and local guide batch on Google. 90% of the reviews i leave are positive, unless something really bad happens. I had a recent incident where the business repeatedly called me because of a bad review i had left (it was a doctor clinic for private patients). The bad review I left is truthful, honest and does not contain insults. It was about a medical negligence event and I just described exactly what happened.
They asked me to meet. But i don't have time so i asked them to talk to me via email. In any case, i am a afraid that the business may try to sue for defamation or slander. I know what i said in the review is factually correct. However, i don't have the money to defend myself in court.
Has anyone ever been legally threatened due to a Google review? How common is it for businesses to sue customers in this way?
Is it a good idea for me to get legal insurance in case I'm a prolific reviewer and may often end up making businesses angry?
