Hello wonderful fellow GSD owners!

I find myself in a very tough situation. I currently have a 2.5 yo gorgeous, well-trained and gentle GSD. We live in a big city apartment that is pet-friendly and have the best landlord. Unfortunately, my partner got into grad school and we have to move.

We were planning to have our next move be a permanent one with us buying a house. But, given the crazy real estate market, we decided to wait a couple years more—waiting the market out or having more money saved up. Unfortunately, we can’t seem to find any rentals that don’t have breed restrictions and it is making me sad and frustrated. I would not move unless I absolutely had to—

Any tips and experiences with renting with a GSD and getting around breed restrictions? How do we find a GSD-friendly landlord? We are currently in Chicago, moving to Milwaukee-area if that helps!
