I'm doing an internship and the company is dog friendly.
I'm not usually at this office because it's far away and when I am, my slightly allergic supervisor usually gives me a ride and there is also usually another dog (labradoodle) at the office, so then I can't bring her.
But yesterday, I went there alone to learn from another employee. He suggested I could bring her, so I did, after finding out that the labradoodle would not be there.
She settled right in. I told her that she needs permission to walk down the stairs and she immediately accepted that, and after sniffing around for a bit she was soon deep asleep stretched out on the floor. (Granted, she was probably pretty tired from two hours on bus and train and the 5 km walk from the train to the office.)
After about an hour, one of our electricians came in to pick up some stuff. He was very friendly to her and they quickly became friends. Another hour or so later, the CEO came in. He did not know that she was there. "Oh, you brought a dog. Hello there, dog." She cuddled with him for a bit, then back to sleeping on the floor again while we worked. Sometimes guarding the stairs a bit when people were there but never barking.
My supervisor for the day seemed quite impressed with her, especially that I could go downstairs and she would stay unless I told her she could come with me.
She's a good girl, and I love taking her with me to places where she's welcome. I think she'd be a great office dog if I was able to make this a habit.
You think?
Well, anxious or not, she slept spread out on the floor during most of the day.
Yeah, I would really love to have a job where I could bring her every day!
But one day is definitely better than nothing. :)

That's what usually happens when other people bring their dogs and I'm supposed to work. 😅
And, she would have loved that. People at this office were actually much too focused for her taste.
