Has anyone noticed that the 2006 remaster of freeek! sounds off compared to the other versions?
Post Body

Freeek 04' is one of my favorite songs in George's discography and when I saw there were multiple other versions of the song, I listened to all the official ones I could find. I found that the single version of the song is identical with no noticeable changes but when I listened to the version on twenty-five aka the 2006 remaster, I noticed that it sounded weird. It sounds like there's some kind of audio filter on it that makes the song more flat and less exciting than 04' and the single version. His voice just suddenly gets loud then gets quiet and is drowned out by the background music. This makes the dialing sounds and the other beeps and boops in the song waaaay louder than in the original recording. I also checked out the "freeek" video and it has all these strange quirks too. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever noticed the differences and if there are reasons for it?
