Email is invalid

Hey everyone. I'm trying to register an account to back up my GD data, but it keeps saying 'Email is invalid'. I'm sure that it's typed correctly, and with the @gmail.com at the end. That email is used for many other accounts, but somehow it doesnt work here.
Am I doing something wrong?
