Erosion and failure of portions of Oroville Reservoir Spillway
Post Body
A pretty interesting (and potentially terrifying if one happens to live in the area) event is happening along the spillway of the Oroville Reservoir in Northern California. Here is a nice blog post form Dave Petley at the Landslide Blog and some good coverage from the local NPR news crew with some really impressive video of what the damage to the spillway looks like as they're releasing water. Potentially interesting situation to follow over the next few days.
