How was the first continent formed?
Post Body

As far as I can understand, continental and oceanic tectonic crusts don’t mix themselves and have completely different geological structure (density, mineralogy, etc.). It happens that continental crust is mainly formed by accumulation of old continental material, while oceanic crust is continuously being recycled by subduction and rift valleys. Existing continents only get new mass very slowly by means of volcanic activity. Is this understanding correct? If so, how did the very first continent got made?
