2023-12-10: Notably, there have been at least two predecessors to this forum: r/gentlefemdompersonals and r/GFDpersonals. Both are now defunct for various reasons.

Many of the reasons those forums have been abandoned are very valid and I myself may not be able to improve upon them. However, upon perusing the world after getting over a recent breakup, I nonetheless noted a need in the community for another such space.

So, being the helpful good boy I am, I took it upon myself to be the change I wanted to see in the world and created this space.

This forum is newly created and is a work in progress. I aim for quality over quantity and will take the time to do things the right way in good faith.

I will be seeking help in due time, as moderating a reddit forum can be very time-consuming and of course reddit is all about community. I remain very open to suggestions on how to manage things in a sustainable way so that the community does not lose another forum.

2023-12-17: I had a busy work week but also gave this forum a lot of love behind the scenes:

• Made 9 rules so far.
• Researched Automod and related regex entries.
• Programmed Automod to require title formats.
• Programmed Automod to require account parameters.
• Programmed Automod to require post length.
• Set new posts to auto-lock (no comments allowed in lieu of personal messages). Comments are welcome on this post, of course!
• Started to make post flairs and make them easily searchable.
• Researched other subreddits to see what rules have worked well, what kinds of posts we can expect, what we could try to improve upon, and how to maintain a warm and welcoming community while ensuring high standards.
• Did a lot of contemplation about what kind of place this subreddit could be, how to set the right "vibe", and how to start it off in a positive direction.
