So I recently have been considering officially collaring my sweet boy. We haven't been together long, but we are both taking this relationship very seriously. We have discussed that this will happen at some point, but the surprise will be what/how/when.

Unfortunately, finances are not ideal, and I really want to surprise him with what I get him. Although, eventually he will have a home/play collar AND a day collar, it's gonna be a one at a time thing.

So the point of this post, is which would you prefer and why? I always planned a play collar first, then a day collar later, because it has less pressure to me. But recently, he had an issues where he was worried about my abandoning him and that our relationship was about to change a lot, and in a bad way due to other circumstances. I reassured him that it wasn't, but it's making me think a day collar might be better, something physical to remind him that he's my sweet boy.
