So although I didn't have a name for it I've been submissive pretty much my whole life and I'm the type of sub who enjoys helping and taking care of people. Especially people I love or even close friends. This can manifest in different ways for example I always go through and organize both my bosses paperwork in the morning before they get in just to help out.
It can also manifest in a protective way for example if I see someone being mistreated or mistreating themselves, I'm going to step in and do or say something even if they're not happy with me. I'm the type of sub who wants to care/protect and be cared for/protected.
This has caused a slight problem. I work in a customer service and because of the nature of the job I get confided in a lot and I give my honest opinion when asked. I'm not always right and I sometimes don't have the full story but I at least try to be there for people. Sometimes I think this comes off as a little dominant.
And over the last 6-7 months I've asked out/been asked out 3 times and all of them were subs.
Now I believe I will still one day find the right person for me without having to change who I am at my core, but I'm curious to know how many others have the same problem.
