I recently moved to Geneva for work, and while I'm putting in effort to socialize, I've found myself mainly among expats and English groups. As a 25-year-old non-EU guy residing on the French side, I'm navigating the challenges of being introverted, all while trying to learn French.
My goal is to expand my social circle beyond expats and find engaging conversations, potentially cultivating genuine friendships or something more. However, the language barrier poses a significant challenge in interacting with locals. I'm not a frequent bar-goer, so I'm seeking advice on how to effectively navigate the social scene here.
Any tips on meeting people, language learning strategies, or suggestions for non-bar social activities in Geneva/bordering french area would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and Merry Christmas!
