How far apart would distant relatives have to be to prevent genetic defects caused by inbreeding?

So yes, i know this is a weird topic and probably asking the wrong place. But here i go.

Everyone knows inbreeding can result in all kinds of genetic defects that lead to crazy health issues.

My general question is how far apart would relatives have to be for that not to happen? What i mean is, a common grandparents are definitely not good, but what if two people unknowingly had a common ancestor about 6 or 7 generations ago without knowing? Will that still harm their descendants?

Again, if this is the wrong place to ask, please inform me.

Thank you
