So I have a 2010 3.8 Track with an automatic with the sportplus feature and it has 95k miles on it. About 2 weeks ago I had this issue while in the automatic mode where I was trying to pass a car on the highway and my car was having trouble finding which gear to use and eventually put itself in Neutral. After pulling over and putting it into park and back into drive, it was stuck in 2nd and I couldn’t even force it into 3rd with manual mode. After turning the car off then on it was perfectly fine. I had a friend with a similar issue but he traded his car for a STI before it happened again. I’ve been using manual mode ever since to be safe and it hasn’t happened again. Anyone have any idea on what it is? It might be the solenoid or ecu.
