Experiences with long term birth control?
Post Body

So I'm gender queer (AFAB), and I've always wanted to get my tubes tied. Literally since my teen years when I learned it was an option. The thought of being pregnant genuinely makes me fear for my sanity and life.

My question is, does anyone have experience with getting their tubes tied or their uterus removed? Specifically, did being gender non conforming help speed along that process at all?

I get dysphoria when feeling masculine and coming onto my period, and the cramps are awful too. And, like I mentioned before, the idea of being pregnant is worse than horrifying for me.

I cant do the implant or the pill (despite it taking away bleeding) as it negatively affects my mental health.

I plan on talking to my GP after the covid issue is a little better, so I was just wondering if bringing up my gender identity and dysphoria would help at all, despite not wanting to fully transition or anything.
