how to announce a change in pronouns?
Post Body

hi yā€™all :) feeling a lil scared and need a bit of advice/encouragement.

my name is bird and, up until now, i identified heavily with my femininity & used she/her pronouns.

in the last year or so, iā€™ve felt less attached to that identity and have found myself finding a lot of comfort in being able to ebb and flow in and out of she/her and they/them. although, they/them just feels the best to me.

i feel really seen by the genderqueer community and feel like i belong here, but iā€™m nervous about ā€œcoming outā€ to the world.

i was lucky to never have the need to ā€œcome outā€ as bisexual/pansexual in the past bc i was raised by parents who never made me feel like it was out of the norm? now, though, iā€™m experiencing a lot of fear about explaining myself.

i also feel a bit of guilt? like iā€™m lying to everyone and my queerness isnā€™t valid. idk, so many emotions.

and itā€™s also likeā€¦ do i even have to come out? how do i do it and feel like people will take me seriously?

iā€™ve told my partner and theyā€™ve been super supportive and receptive. :ā€™)
