While not crushed, I am somewhat disappointed at how the events shook out this morning. Don’t misunderstand; I feel fortunate that I got a few things that I wanted. I’ve seen the stories between here and FB of people getting nothing.
But I clearly didn’t understand how the wish list worked. I did not understand that if an event conflicted with another one on your list, it would ignore the other events in favor of one. I didn’t get it and missed a few that I dearly wanted because I didn’t get it.
And that’s on me. As I said, I still got a few things I liked and I know you don’t need to have an events packed schedule. I just wish I had been better informed as a newbie how the wish list worked in detail. But again, it’s my fault. Shoulda dug a little harder into it.
But I will say this… They need to do a revamp of the process and post a detailed explanation of exactly how this works along with a GIANT disclaimer that states YOU MAY END UP WITH NO EVENTS AT ALL. CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!
So I guess I’ll be hoping things open up a little bit. Not what I expected.
