So we just started sending mass communications via an online tool controlled by global I.T. unfortunately the tool is pretty poor.
After 3 months of use and 6 email campaigns later, I had a funny feeling about our unconsent rate of 0.
I deep dove into the data today and found we had 200 unconsent/opt outs since December...
Luckily the system recognised all but 60 of these individuals.
My question is, how screwed are we considering 60 people have received promotional emails they had opted out of...
Do you have a template you could share for this? Wouldn't know where to start, we are a small company
Yes for sure, that is true. In the grand scheme of breaches it's pretty insignificant.
We are not a large company though so a fine could be pretty bad for the business...
