Sorry if these are dumb questions.
Note that I'm talking about gay saunas - the kind that are designed for sexual encounters.
From your experience:
Is there normally a lot of talking at saunas? Or is everyone there usually very silent?
Is observing consent a regular problem at these kinds of places?
Have you ever caught an STI from your participation at a place like this? Are they a big problem at saunas?
Is it acceptable to just use the sauna/hot tub services without doing anything sexual?
Here is some context to help with these questions:
I have been really wanting to go to a men's sauna nearby but I am super anxious and hesitant about it.
I'm 24 years old and from what I understand, most of the attendees there are middle aged or older. Now, its definitely a really arousing thought to be naked and checked out by all these older guys (I've always been really into much older men and women).
However, I'm really concerned that I'll get overwhelmed with attention, and/or that I'll be pressured into doing more than I'm comfortable with. I *do* want to fool around with at least one person there, but I would want that to happen after at least a few minutes of talking.
I also kind of want to just try using the sauna to experience one. I have never seen a sauna - in a sexual context or not - in person, and I want to sit in one for a few minutes and actually experience it.
Thanks so much for your help!
