I’m 28 and he is 53. So few weeks back I met a wonderful man in person for Christmas. We talked for over 4 months before. This was the first time I ever got to meet someone I’ve talked to online on biggercity or any dating app. We both love God and as we were talking I’ve developed feelings for him over time.
Those feelings never changed even after we met. We both were looking for relationship in the beginning but just a couple days before we met, he said he’s not looking for relationship at this time but can be a good friend. This broke my heart because he thought I might leave him like his ex husband because I’m a chaser, which is true but my idea of a relationship is not as superficial like he thinks it is. I was okay with that and we met the following week and even cuddled a bit. It was wonderful.
Now we do still talk like we used to but I feel like he is probably slowly cutting me off. I’m not sure what to do. We believe the same things and he’s been a wonderful mentor all through this time. I’ve been praying hard for us to work out. How do I deal with this heartache and loneliness that comes along the way?
It’s is so hard to be gay and fall so hard for guys much older ( I always have ) and being in love with them with my life when it is not reciprocated.
I hope for better days this year
