A young guy hit me up a couple of nights ago on Grindr. He looked nice, lived nearby etc. Had a really good conversation going. Said he wanted to meet over the next weekend when his parents would be away and wanted me to stay over.
Last night we talked again but I was exhausted from too little sleep (the pandemic has ruined my already bad sleep patterns) and work. He confirmed that his parents would be away, and he wanted me to stay Friday night until Sunday (two nights). That did seem a bit much for a first time but I'm lonely lately and I said it sounded great and confirmed we were a go.
We continued some flirty back-and-forth but I was so sleepy and tired that I was not really into it. It was only around 9:30 but I was already in bed. I could tell he still wanted to chat so I left my phone next to me and responded as best I could when I heard him text something. I know I should have told him I was tired but I was enjoying our conversation and he seemed eager. But I ended up falling asleep.
I felt bad so first thing I went onto Grindr intending to apologize for nodding off during what might have seemed like mid conversation. It’s happened before to me.
And…..he blocked me. I mean, c’mon. Really? I got a sense he was nervous, and he said he was inexperienced, so he most likely thought my lack of response was a rejection. I feel bad and a little hurt. Nothing overwhelming just like the proverbial “WTF?”.
Just thought I would post this as it helps sometimes. Thank you.
