My boyfriend(45m) invited me(19m) over his place to Germany for a week and and my mom is just unwilling to discuss this. She thinks that he is "grooming" me although I have already told her that it is not the case, because he is not trying to manipulate me at all. We have met before, but he is always the one who drove to meet me, as I don't have a license or a car yet. He wanted me to visit him for months now, but our holidays didnt align. Now, I have time off from university, so I could visit him and spend a week with him, but my mom is really against it and refuses to talk about. She says that I am old enough to make decisions, which is true, but I would still really like to talk it over with her, so that she can see that I am not being taken advantage of. She is quite homophobic too, which is another issue, but I think the main issue is that she views my partner as an embarrassment because he is old, although she is older than him. Can I better the situation somehow?
