Disclaimer: It's really hard for me to reply to "Hi" or "How's your day?" The conversation goes dry really fast and I end up feeling shy and awkward. Please help me and try and keep the conversation going. 🙏
Anyway. Hi. Now it's even more awkward. Um... Sorry.
I've been a web programmer for most of my life. But, I've also been dabbling with writing science fiction. And right now, I'm trying to make a fiction podcast. In the past I've played around with robotics, home automation, AI, tabletop roleplaying games, 3D modeling, 3D printing, music production... I tend to bounce around a lot.
I'm looking for fellow creators who love the excitement of geeking out on something new and want to share it with a close friend. I'd love to learn about what you're working on. (Hint, hint: that might be a good way to break the ice.)
I'm gay, married (M42), and poly. We have a boyfriend (M22). My husband and I met in the US and now we live in Portugal. I'm also demisexual -- which, for me, means that in the context of a relationship, I need to build a strong emotional and intellectual connection before I can even think about having a secure romantic or physical connection.
I have some past posts here on Reddit and a picture of me in my profile, if that matters.
I don't care about age, whether you're 81 or 18. Curiosity, creativity, and connection are more important.
Thanks for reading. I feel less awkward now. 🙃
