Hey, everyone!

You can call me A! I’m a gay, Side A Christian from the American South. I’m a musician by trade, and a teacher by calling. I like the idea of nature, but I’m a city boy through and through. I’m a big nerd for a lot of things: MMO gaming, fantasy books, tabletop gaming, Bible scholarship, and languages.

I started this sub as a response to the difficulty I’ve found finding potential friends and partners! Affirming churches are few and far between, though growing in number. The gay scene, at lease where I’m from, seems to be centered around a toxic hookup culture. I’m a firm believer in the power of monogamous covenant relationships!

Most of all, I love Jesus! I wandered for a bit when it seemed that my faith and my lived experience could never coexist. But Jesus found me again, and I realize that my life is impossible without him.
