Alcohol is a lot empty calories and sugar, so definitely not conducive to getting (or keeping). Personally, last summer I had probably the best body I’ve ever had in my life (complete with six pack) and was able to balance that with having a glass of wine once a week or so; I probably had a couple of cocktails on my birthday and while traveling. For the record I generally eat a very healthy, whole foods based (but not super restrictive) diet.
I’m trying to get back to that body now and I think basically cutting out alcohol and walking everywhere (in addition to my usual gym routine). To guys who have/are trying to get abs, how often do you drink socially?
