Friendly reminder: our job is to listen and not distract from other’s pain

In the middle of all the noise, we just have to remember that standing with the black community right now so that THEY can be heard matters more than you being heard yourself.
I’ve seen so many gays amplifying LGBT issues, which are obviously extremely important, but it’s just selfish to distract from someone’s else’s pain.
