I know that gay men and their mom usually have a good bonding. But most people told me that gay men and their dad are knowingly hostile.
For me, I was pretty close to my dad. Our relationship was not flawless but he was always on and by my side no matter what.
Of course, growing up a gay son who's been always different, he was kinda strict. I even had a phase in which I hated my dad.
I've been different and my dad knew. And as a parent's job, he tried to 'straighten' me in a form of advice, sometimes scolding.
By the age of my late teen, our relationship gradually became closer and closer. And he passed away 2 years ago when I was 27.
At the end my dad accepted me for who I am. I just really wish I could be more affectionate to him while he was alive.
What kind of relationship do you gays have with your father???
“You gays…” 🤔
