I feel hopeless living in Florida due to the extreme disregard for lgbt rights and even for women's rights specifically access to Healthcare.

Post Body

Title is self explanatory but I've been living in Florida for 8 years and prior lived in Louisiana. I can't move out of the state likely for 3 years but for a while now I've felt trapped in a place that honesty does not feel safe as an lgbt man. I don't live out openly and fear dating and generally just anything associated with lgbt because of the extreme hate I am around with people I've worked with, gone to school with, and even neighbors. The ever changing laws and extreme control that DeSantis has In keeping people down by controlling rhetoric has destroyed my outlook on my future goal of getting married and having kids.

I know many gay couples and people in general love Florida, but I can't get over things like conversion therapy, banning lgbt books, or even trying to ban simple thinks like birth control. I'm not sure what to do to make the best of my situation here.
