Finally bought a toy, a medium-sized vibrator. Due to circumstances I had to get it at a CVS near me, which I was fine with, I wasn't looking for anything too crazy. There weren't many people in the store at the time, so I wasn't embarrassed.
That was until the cashier couldn't figure out how to take the security tag off. Apparently, these toys are the only items in the entire store that have the tags, all other products are either untagged or locked behind a screen.
I watched as the two cashiers fiddled with a boxed dildo for 5 minutes until they RADIO THE WHOLE STORE to call the manager down and remove it. They figured it out before the manager came down, but the manager came to look anyway. This all took place over about 10 minutes.
I'm satisfied with the service; they weren't rude at all, and they were genuinely trying to best to take the tag off the dildo. I still think it's pretty funny. 3 people scratching their heads over a dildo inside a CVS is a unique image for sure.
Anyone else have funny toy-retail related stories?
