I'm tired of having to get my phone and reauthorize myself to log in every week. I looked into physical authentication devices, and this is the cheapest one I could find. Its still $40, which is a lot, but if I'm going to be here for two more years I might as well spend the money and save myself the trouble. I was thinking of just leaving such a device in my desktop computer permanently, so I wouldnt have to move to log myself in.
There's also this $20 key but I'm not sure it will work with Duo, since it doesnt support OATH-HOTP (not sure if this is the only criteria). Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations?
Update many weeks later: As it turns out, hardware 2FA is not supported for students. OIT apparently sells basically the $20 key at the B&N bookstore, but only for faculty (idk). For reasons unknown to me, the Duo implementation used for GT is restricted and locked down, so OIT has to manually approve every single hardware token, which is painstaking and tedious, which is why it is not supported for students.
