Hey guys, it’s the doctor here posting again.
Post Body

Just found out the only person I could ask to support me during my immediate pre/post op period can’t make it. My sister was told she can’t take time off so I’m here with no support. I’m sure I’m being a bit melodramatic but I’ve never had surgery and I’m nervous. It’s weird, being a physician and seeing about 20-30 of these procedures somehow gives me zero comfort. I know anatomically exactly how this procedure goes and have taken care of quite a few post op patients myself as a Hospitalist. But somehow, I’m still very nervous about going through this whole thing alone. Surgery is going to happen the week of nov 7. Would anyone be willing to be my surrogate support? Even if just texting to a few post op folks so I can ask questions would definitely help.
