Sleeved on 12/15/21. One of the major reasons I had the surgery was to help get my blood sugar under control before I had to go on insulin. I had struggled the few months leading up to my surgery to get my A1c under 9.0 so I could get the surgery. I was on 3 meds, watching what I ate, and was able to bring it down to 8.9 from a high of 10.8. I just had my labs drawn today. I no longer take any Diabetes meds and haven't for months. Today's A1c was 5.8. Normal is <5.7. This puts me on the low side of pre-diabetes.
