Pre-Op Diets - aka Surgery Weight vs. Highest Weight?

I keep seeing progress posts including HW and SW... what is the deal with that, if someone can explain? I know I'm going to be meeting with nutritionists and therapists soon to start the process (and get insurance approval), but I guess didn't realize I'd be losing weight prior to the surgery as well??
