Anxiety meds post op

Hello!

I’m having surgery on Monday and the closer I get the more afraid I’m getting… but I’m trying to be strong. I have a question regarding your medicines.

I take 3 pills at night for my anxiety and depression. I asked the doctor if I could take them still. The response of the team was to take them throughout the day. One makes me tired and helps me sleep.

This was the response when I explained my concerns:

“For your first question, since the size of the stomach is very small, taking more than 2 or 3 medications could increase the possibility of pills getting stuck and that is why the doctor recommends spacing out medications if it is more than 2 medications. For the last question, Dr. Venkat said he wouldn't recommend taking all the medications together if they opened or crushed. He recommends taking them 2 hours apart.”

This worries me, my meds aren’t used to not being in my body as a cocktail all at once.

How do yall do your meds? None of my mine are extended release so that’s not an issue. Thanks!
