I know this might be a weird post but I'm curious if anyone else has had good success growing but knows little about the technicalities. Like I don't really know anything about the zones, I plant in pots in my east facing apartment, I'm in alberta so its chilly. They say to place plants so far apart and I kind of just eyeball it. I'm growing a cantaloupe in a pot and I kind of just sprinkle seeds wherever they wanna go and I don't feed the plants just put potting mix, I give them regular water from the tap and yet my plants always turn out how I want them to. Does anyone else do this and somehow have success with difficult plants?
