a potentially very stupid question about increasing humidity for my tropical plants.
Post Body

Hello, I have a lot of tropical plants and would like to make their environment more consistently humid without turning my house into a mold sanctuary. I keep most of my plants on those industrial wire shelves made for garages and stuff, and a humidifier sits on one of the shelves. Water, sunlight, and temperature are not issues.

Could I just cover the tops and sides of the shelves with plastic wrap or some cheap clear plastic to make what would essentially be a makeshift terrarium? I don't want to buy huge panes of glass, as i wouldn't know how to attach them and me & my clumsy roommates would probably find a way to knock them over and shatter them. Is this a dumb idea?
