Possible to keep a fan palm from growing too high?
Post Body

I live in sunny and hot Yucatan, Mexico. I have a 3' fan palm in pot and I'd like to replant it in a 50x170cm (20 x 67") concrete planter box that is against a wall in my courtyard and receives full sunlight for most of the day. There is no bottom to the planter so it has drainage. Ideally I'd like to keep it from growing higher than 2.5 meters (8 feet).

Any suggestions?
