I planted sunflower seeds this spring and 5 popped up. All but one was eaten by bugs. That one is now about 7ft tall. My question is, one of the sunflowers that was eaten by bugs basically split in two at the top. It has slowly been growing and is about 2ft tall. My question is, should I trim one of the sides? Will this eventually become two sunflowers on one stem? Thanks for any advice. This is my first time planting these in my garden. I live in dfw Texas if that helps. We’ve been getting lots of rain and sun.
