How to save monkey/mondo grass for planting?

I recently was able to get my hands on three garbage bags full of ornamental monkey grass. I planted about a bags worth but I need more time for the rest of it. Is there any way I can keep it fresh for a few days? I have some spare pots and potting soil but they’ll only cover about a bags worth. I also have a small kiddy pool I could maybe use. I could really use some help because it’s beautiful and I don’t want it to go to waste. Any tips would be appreciated.
