German Thyme: In or Out for Winter?

I live in Zone 5A, and the cold air has arrived. I'm looking for advice as to whether I should bring it inside or leave it outside. My windows face west and south.
Edit: Thank you for the advice. I will add some protection with straw, and put it against the building with other pots surrounding it. I think, with your advice, it will survive the winter.
