I realize I'm getting a bit specific, so I will state much of what's in the title is more preference than hard and fast requirements.

My friends and I have enjoyed games like Anthem and Warframe in the past, but both have their problems, and so we've been looking for something else to pick up. We realize that looking for something exactly like Warframe or Anthem would be casting a rather small net, so don't feel it has to be an exact match.

We tend to get frustrated with games that feel slow and sluggish, as well as those that are so easy that you're basically being handed victory, so we know those are two things we want to avoid. We're looking for something with vaguely RPG elements, and with a continuous game play loop rather than a game you set down immediately after completing the main story. Action RPGs and Shooters seem like the most likely genre, but we'd be happy to consider other genres if they sound like they capture what we're interested in. Doesn't have to be popular, doesn't have to be obscure; as long as it's a fit.

That said, we'd be happy to hear any suggestions.

(Note: We've already played plenty of Borderlands, so that can be skipped over.)
