turn-based games that require tactics

Not long ago I beat XCOM 2 for the first time after many many tries. Recently I beat BG3. Both of those games had me using tactics, retrying fights to perform better, and having to put some thought into combat that made it really satisfying.

I'd like to find some more games like this. Turn-based RPGs or strategy games (but not things like Total War, that's real-time combat) that I can dig into and feel rewarded for doing more than brute forcing fights
