So I played Sekiro a lot. And I love its deflecting mechanics. You rarely have to dodge an attack by dash or jump.
Recently I am playing Grime. It also has a system where I can parry an attack to absorb which lets me heal or parry an attack to damage the enemy. The only time I have to dodge is when certain attacks have red aura which I can't parry.
Both of these game have decent parry or window so I can actually parry or deflect continuously. Games like souls trilogy also have parry system but parry isn't really a focus on those game & it's just better to fight the game normal way.
I think Wo Long has something similar.
So again, here are the things I am looking in a suggestion:
parry or deflect should be a major focus of the game. It can't simply be a side choice. Dodging attacks by dash or roll should be of a lower priority.
