My girlfriend Sonja doesn't have a lot of experience with videogames outside of some mobile-matching games, The Sims, and a couple of Tycoon games. A couple of times we've played Mario Kart and Mario Party, but there's a significant skill disparity (and also I'm a bit over turning to Mario every time I want a multiplayer experience). Smash was OK, I like it because we can set handicaps, but I think it was a bit too technical for her to really enjoy.
Sonja has expressed that she used to take turns with an ex playing Limbo and had a good time, but also that she'd like to play some co-op games where she feels like she can contribute to success even if she's not very good.
She had a good time playing Monster Prom but I'd like some other recommendations for games that are easy enough to pick up for beginners - so probably not fighting games with massive movesets. FPS games are probably also a challenge for her.
Switch games would be ideal, but I have a decent PC that can play most games.
Games that can support three or more players would be a bonus but not mandatory.
