One thing that I miss about the old days of console gaming were cheat codes. Not because I wasn't good at games but because of the fun you could have just messing around with unlimited lives or unlimited weapons. I have so many old player's guides and cheat code books from the days of the NES, SNES, N64, Genesis and PS1. I even still have my Gameshark for the PS1 and for the N64.
Sometimes I wish that modern single player games would include cheat codes, such as the Konami Code, just for laughs. My son has one of those Playskool toy game controllers that light up and play music. Someone at the company programmed the Konami Code into it so that when you enter it in, the toy plays a special tune.
