Are there any souls-like games (Dark Souls, Elden Ring, etc) that a filthy casual like me can enjoy? To clarify, I'm not the most skilled gamer. I don't have the best reaction time, I make a lot of mistakes, and tend to play on medium difficulty for the majority of games that I play, and will even bump things down to easy some times when i just want to experience a game's story. The only time I really bump up the difficulty settings on turn based strategy games since that seems to be where I actually have a bit of a knack for it.

When I picked up the 1st Dark Souls to give it a try, I just got frustrated with how many times I was dying and how difficult it was, so I've kinda just been ignoring the souls like genre since then. But lately, I've been looking at all my friends (and my favorite author) playing Elden Ring and wondering if this one would be alright to jump into? Or maybe there's another one out there more my speed? Or should I just keep this genre as something to watch on stream?

Oh, also, I don't have a whole lot of time in my week to game, so I'd like something that I can kinda just jump into it. I'm not asking for something where I'm gonna be good right away; I know that's ridiculous. I just don't want to be absolute trash right at the start because I don't really have the time to put into training and practice to get ok at a game.

Oh, and also, also: I play primarily on PC, but I also game a fair amount on my PS4 and Switch if that matters.
