I don' t know if anyone but me remembers it, but as a kid in the early 2000's, I spent countless hours playing around on the old nickelodeon games room- the favorite being the two Wild Thornberries Wildlife Rescue games. Since then, I've never found anything quite like them- and I needs it, badly. Here's a video of the experience, a link to the lost media wiki) about the game, and of course; for those with no time to deep dive on a lost treasure from a bygone era or watch a video, here's what I'm trying to get out of the gaming experience.
- Exploring around to find animals in need of help
- Some kind of resource management
- Taking the animals to a central place where you raise & rehabilitate said animals, with feeding, meds, grooming, etc
- Releasing the animals when they are done
I know of several games like this, honestly the pet vet subgenre is..... just horribly overfull of shovelware. BUT!
If any of you out there know of a game along these lines that's actually fun and engaging... tell me all about it!
Thanks!
