This show has been going on for so long that most of my major life events have been sprinkled through it's run. I started high school in the first season, and since then I've graduated and gotten married. Like most everyone else I've been disappointed with the last season, but now that the final episode is approaching I'm really starting to realize how much I'm gonna miss all of it. The world is so interesting, the actors do such a fantastic job playing these great characters and are so fun to watch, and of course all the twists and turns are a blast. Even the worst parts of season 7 and season 8 are fun to watch simply for all the discussion and memes that come out of the ridiculous moments.
Inevitably (I hope) we'll get a re-make, and I'll be able to start the ride all over again. But I know I'll always miss the original cast and all the little quirks of the original show, and look back on even the worst moments of the show with nostalgia. Game of Thrones was really special, and I'm glad I got to see it.
