Why was Tywin so damn likable?
Post Body

I honestly don't come across it often. He's so clearly a bad person and someone I should hate, but the combination of Charles Dance nailing it and him putting his (potentially even worse) family members in their place made me always root for him.

Only person who supercedes that for me was Tyrion.

To be fair, everyone he did know was pretty disappointing. But, he is to blame for much of it.

He was mostly competent aF in regards to his choices regarding ruling the land. Very logical and calculating in his choices but also cruel and held grudges so aggressively. And this was made extra apparent in contrast by cersei absolutely fumbling so much of it.
