I just rewatched the series (4th time) in about a month. Going this quickly really changed my mind on Dany.

Before I explain, I am not saying the Dan and DB did a good job w season 7/8, or I fully agree and love everything, I’m just saying I love and understand Dany.

• everything that happened until Mereen…this bitch is badass
• Mereen is an absolute nightmare, her time there really fucked her up. Her becoming Khaleesi 2.0 was awesome
• she gets to dragon stone and convinced to do this dumb mission up north…she saves Jon and them but loses a dragon
• they try to reason w Cersei, she lies about helping w the night king
• they defeat the night king, team effort but without dany they lose….and there’s some jealousy towards how Jon is seen vs her. She looks around and realizes she is truly alone after Jorah is dead.
• Sansa is a bitch to her
• dragon 2 dies!!!
• Missandei beheaded….dracarys (the way Cersei stands after the beheading was insane)

After all this, Dany is beyond lost in the head as she should be. This is more than anyone could take. She’s truly lost everyone, prob should’ve sent a raven for Dario to come help. Tyrions plans are all stupid, they should’ve taken kings landing day 1.

What is the point of being queen if you can’t share it with the people you love and helped you get there?

Then you got this BS from Varys, he’s actually a scumbag and I was so happy she executed him.

Even though she is so powerful….she feels powerless.

She should’ve gone right at Cersei and not burned them all ya, but in a way I think she saw all these “innocents” as the reason why all these mistakes have been made. Protecting these innocents is why she did all this stupid stuff that cost her the throne earlier and her friends. Why does she care about these people? She cares about her dead friends. She cared about the innocents in Mereen and it never worked.

I’m not saying I love what she did, but I understand it more and will never view her as worse than other characters besides Jon.
