First person "force" powers and interesting combat

TLDR, you have force powers, how do you encourage creative combat
im currently prototyping a game where there are no guns but you have telekenetic powers similar to the force from start wars, currently you can pick up and then through objects at a fast speed, you can perform a larger reaching push, you can slow time temporarily and you can punch the enemy, the enemies can also take damage from colliding with object fast enough and i will eventually add a destruction system. My question is what should i add or change to make combat interesting because my current thinking is just spamming push into a wall, how to designers go about preventing or discouraging this kind of behaviour. feel free to ask me any questions
